Welp with Engeline's gone, this is the next best thing. And I like it. My filipino friend says its decent. I think it's solid, I still come back from time to time.

100% will be coming back. I don't think I've had filipino barbecue this good before. I dropped by at around 3pm and was quickly greeted by a worker. They have a large menu containing various grilled items, soups, entrees, and desserts, all at very reasonable prices. Most entrees were under $20 and they all came with a decent portion of rice. I ordered the Mixed Grill ($18), which came with longanisa, pork bbq on a stick, bbq chicken thigh, and liempo. I think it's the perfect order to share with another person, and it's such a great deal! Everything was absolutely smothered in bbq sauce and no piece of meat was dry. My favorite item was the longanisa, and I'll be sure to order extra the next time! A different customer ordered the sizzling sisig, and it smelled so good I knew that I had to come back for it. Restaurant is decently sized and I can tell the place holds a lot of memories. The wall is covered with news articles paying tribute to the restaurant. They play upbeat music and are a very friendly bunch.

Quick fix for Filipino cravings. Small place, no reservations but staff are friendly. We ordered chicken, torta talong, avocado shake, sinigang with chicken. Highly recommend and got empanadas Togo!

staff was all so nice and warm. some carollers came by and sang too which added to the homey ambiance. the lumpia was so crispy and the sisig was very good. i thought the beef on the tapsilog was a little tough though so i wouldnt get that again didnt get a chance to try their desserts but they looked good! the flavors of the dishes lean sour and vinegary also

Yes, give me all the -logs!! My Filipino friends always say that I'm considered Filipino, not by blood nor by marriage but by food. I honestly kind of agree because if you know me IRL, you'd know I am well-versed in the Filipino culture, food, and even some of the language (I also got the accent down a long time ago). Plus, my name can sometimes throw people off because the general mindset is: Asian face + Spanish name = Filipino, but in my case the math doesn't add up. Back to the food - I convinced my ate (work bestie) last weekend to ditch her go-to spot for brunch and come to Renee's with me instead. We woke up late and were on a tight schedule that day so we ended up having to order our food to-go instead. She got the tinapasilog and I got my favorite longsilog. I'm not one to eat fish for my first meal of the day but her food smelled really good. My longsilog as usual, was delectable - very juicy and the right balance of sweet and savory. The only thing I was displeased with that day was the garlic rice. It did not taste right. It tasted like they mixed a spoonful of minced garlic from the jar with old rice and that's not how it's normally supposed to taste. It's my favorite place to grab breakfast in Woodside so I'll be back.

The lechon was nice and crisp...just how it should be. The ox tail was great with the peanut sauce- huge fan of it. Ssig with a fried egg was a staple dish which I would come back for time and time again. I want to come back and try the grilled meats and desserts.

Super cute brunch spot with a good number of options to choose from. Really enjoyed the food here!

OMG this food was amazing!!!! Everything was delicious. I loved the lumps and lechon. The pork and chicken skewers were so tender and juicy. Such an intimate and family oriented setting. I felt right at home like I was eating with my mom and aunties at the dinner table. I'm happy my first experience with Filipino food in NY was at Renee's :) I'll be back for sure.

I've had Filipino food before, but having Filipino food at Renee's has upped the bar. Renee's is a hidden gem in Woodside and you can tell the place is family owned and authentic. The restaurant is casual but homey and the restaurant wasn't crowded on an early evening on Friday. My friend and I didn't take into account that this place closes at 7pm and we got there at 6pm. If you want more time to dine, lunchtime is a better bet. Despite the confusion on why our bill was closed so early, we were provided with friendly service. Our food also came out relatively fast so we had time to eat. My friend and I shared an ube shake, a spicy sisig, and the oxtail kare kare. The ube shake was sweet and creamy and tasted pretty good. I really enjoyed the sizzling spicy sisig which was not super spicy but had a flavorful kick. The sisig was especially great with the garlic rice. The oxtail kare kare with the shrimp paste was also very good and they gave several pieces of tender oxtail. These entrees with the amount of rice given to us were more than enough to fill us up. While Filipino desserts have gotten special attention these past few years, I think Filipino food still hasn't gained enough traction to catch up to the Filipino dessert craze. Renee's is definitely a great introduction to good Filipino food for those who haven't tried.

Filipino Breakfast right off the airport!!! Places like this make me miss the philippines and my college life. Im so happy more filipino restaurants are using the "silog" dishes to attract customers. Ambiance feels like I'm literally back in college. Great food great atmosphere!!
